EOD/IEDD/SEARCH TRAINER

Duties:  EOD/IEDD/SEARCH pre-deployment course of Burundi contingent for Somalia and Central Africa  Ensure that the necessary resources are available to implement IEDD/EOD- related activities.  Ensure that the IEDD Team and EOD remain engaged with relevant skills, processes, and activities  Planning, coordination, and control operations activities of EOD-IEDD teams in BNDF  Training - Conduct the training need analysis to meet the EOD/IEDD Operational requirements, design training accordingly.  Develop training calendar and ensure/monitor the conductance of all related training. Management of all operational tasks in BNDF, development of all required SOPs and upkeep as necessary.  Advisory support and technical assistance for capacity assessment elements of relevant Burundi military units

EOD/IEDD MENTOR TRAINER

Duties:  Provided EOD/IED technical support to AMISOM military and police in Somalia.  Implemented SLG Quality Management, (QM), Quality Assurance (QC), and Quality Control (QC) procedures/systems.  Developed, proposed, and upon approval, implemented new systems and techniques to further enhance operations.  Collate and disseminate technical reports as required.  To ensure all AMISOM operators are safe to operate within the environment and threat personnel

EOD/IEDD MENTOR QA&; QC

Duties:  To offer continual IEDD technical support to AMISOM  To ensure AMISOM troops are kept up to date on the threat, terrorist methods of operation, device design, new or changing operation’s method, and final clearance.  Implementation of safety standards and procedures according to approved DML SOP and other applicable in-country standards and procedures.  Implementation of DML Quality Management, (QM), Quality Assurance (QC), and Quality Control (QC) procedures/systems.  Have in-depth knowledge of all IED and other explosive threats (mines and munitions) in-country and disarm, neutralize and/or dispose of where applicable and as authorized by relevant authorities.

Chief Combat Engineering

Duties:  Planning, coordination, control operations activities of EOD-IEDD teams in the sector of Burundi contingent in SOMALIA.  Training - Conducted the training need analysis to meet the EOD/IEDD Operational requirements, designed and developed training calendar and ensured/monitored the conductance of all related training,  Planned, organized and management of all operational tasks in the area of responsibility, development of all required SOPs and amend as necessary.  Select training, refresher training, and requesting training needed by troops.  (UNMAS, DYNASAF, BANCROFT) destroying different Ammunitions (UXO) in SOMALIA and providing EOD/IEDD support for local cavils and military as required  Ensure interaction and maintain close and effective coordination with relevant Burundi military on the strengthening of capacities for mine action and against the risks posed by the explosive hazard
